A day in the life of a wedding planner

We see all the hours put into planning finally come to life on the wedding day. But what happens during all the hours of planning?

There’s plenty that goes on before the big day. But where do you even begin? Lucky for you, us wedding planners have a system to make planning your wedding and partying it up on your big day as laid back and carefree as possible! On a regular office day, we spend about seven hours working in the office. But Hannah really answers emails even after office hours. That’s a lot. We spend a good three to four hours in the office planning and working with our couples.

Lots of things go into planning, but let's start with the basics. Having a general idea of what you are wanting, florals, colors, style, guest count, helps a lot when we go into the next step, budgeting. You say it, we’ll do it! On top of helping our couples budget and find inspiration for their big day, we also create timelines.

What are timelines? A timeline is your big day, from start to finish, planned out fully, even down to the minute. No detail gets overlooked in a timeline. Not only do timelines help keep the day on track, but it also helps all the other vendors stay on the same page so you don't have to do anything but say, “I do,” and celebrate! The remainder of the day consists of us contacting and corresponding with all the vendors involved in creating your dream day.

Vendor communication is very important. This communication ensures that everyone is on the same page for your day! Part of what we communicate is setting up arrival and departure times; we can double check contracts for you so you don’t have to worry about the finer details of what is included and will be provided the day of!

With the help of all the other vendors, your wedding day can be nothing but celebrating for you and your significant other!
